Pelican, the umbrella species of the freshwater ecosystem, signals its good health and biodiversity

  • To initiate Project Pelican on a pan-India level to understand the large-scale mortalities and other threats occurring to the Near Threatened Spot-billed Pelican

  • To create a global platform to connect with pelican specialists, disease experts, ecologists, local communities, and different organizations who are linked to pelicans and their habitat conservation and management
